A Suspended Blue is a melting ice installation for VENIA Studios with a performance by Halleta Alemu.
I worked with the clothing brand VENIA to create an ephemeral installation for their storefront in the Los Angeles Arts District. Large ice forms melted throughout the space, and Halleta Alemu activated the installation with a performance of a text she wrote in response to the artwork I created for the installation.

Process:
- Meet with collaborators to identify conceptual themes and how to translate them across our mediums
- Develop conceptual considerations for the installation
- Research cosmic and literary texts and cultural exhibtits, installations, and performances to shape an archive of references
- Create a tonally charged installation that viewers watched transform and collapse throughout its ephemeral duration
